I don't recall seeing this posted here before. Thought y'all might enjoy seeing how one of the Big Boys cranks out its solidbody electrics:

Wow, cool tour.

Found this a little strange though

NO RESPIRATORS

I guess they really trust there air circulation and filter system.Rod True39076.0149652778

YES, that is odd, no respirators.

I've been spraying Nitro repeatedly, applying all the coats to a couple guitars. Shooting often. Once I forgot the respirator and suffered no ill effects.

Someone in Canada has a spray booth with the exhaust fan located near the floor. I believe that is the proper location as much finish seems to end up there.

Its good to know that Santa makes all the SGs.

"The fretboard binding lays over the fret ends - this small step" ... guarantees the plastic binding will end up cracked at pretty much every fret end at some point in the guitars life .... due to fretboard shrinkage. One small thing I really dont like about Gibsons ...it also makes them a real PITA to refret per factory spec.

Hey Bruce, I think that same Canadian guy has the fresh air intake at the top of the booth to. He says that it makes the airflow move so as the fumes rarly get to head level.

He wears a full face respirator as well
